Procedures for admission for 2020-21

For reception in 2020-21 there will be 60 places available. In the autumn term we offer parents who are considering making an application opportunities to visit the school in order to find out how we work and the education we offer. Any parents unable to visit at the advertised times are most welcome to make an appointment to see the school at another time. Our open mornings are from 9:00am to 10:30am on Wednesday 23rd October and from 1:45pm to 3:00pm on Thursday 14th November 2019. The headteacher will talk at the start of each session.

Parents who wish to apply for a place for their child need to complete two separate application forms. One is obtained from the LA (Local Authority, Surrey for most parents) in which the parents live. This form is normally completed on-line; the Surrey form will be available from Monday 4th November. The other is obtained from the school and enables us to collect the information we need in order to apply our admissions policy and supplementary information form (SIF) fairly. Both forms must be completed and returned before the published closing date for applications (Wednesday 15th January 2020).

Appeals process for entry in 2020-21

Parents have the right to appeal if their application for a place in reception at St Anne's in 2020-21 is unsuccessful. Parents need to contact the school by 18th May 2020 to lodge their appeal. Appeals are heard by an independent panel by 20th July 2020, with their decision being binding on the school and the parents.
